The field of Computer Science and Engineering has been pushing the envelope of almost all other disciplines, which use computing as a fundamental means of inquiry and tool for discovery. Computer science and engineering offers exciting, intellectually challenging, and rapidly growing career opportunities. It is the heart of where the action is: whether this means intelligent game playing, mobile applications, smart robots, cloud computing, data security, social networks, or bioinformatics.The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in 2008 with an intake of 60 and enhanced to 120 in 2017 The department is headed by a senior Professor with vast industrial and teaching experience spanning nearly fifteen years.

Computer Science and Engineering has two primary foci: Computer Hardware Design: including an understanding of design methodologies for electronic circuits, digital systems, computer architecture and integrated circuits, and Computer Software Design: including an understanding of designing a software, program, and coding for developing user friendly applications, both online and off line for the use of individuals and corporate clients across the world.

The department regularly organizes seminars, workshops, and guest lecturers for the students. Faculty development programs are organized for faculty to promote high standards in technical education.
The department has spacious classrooms, air-conditioned seminar hall, and well-equipped laboratories. The department has dedicated fully air-conditioned computer labs with 182 systems, all in a networked environment. The department offers free high-speed Internet facility through 10 Mbps wireless RF connectivity. The department library provides useful resources to students with books on 480 titles and 612 volumes, 2 International Journals, 3 National Journals, 15 Magazines, 50 CDs, 20 Lab Manuals, Question banks and Project Reports.
Computer Engineers Technical Association (CETA), a student body of CSE Department, organizes co-curricular and extra- curricular activities for an all-round development of students. Student Chapters of IEEE, ACM, CSI and ISTE conduct events through out the year, keeping students busy beyond-the-classroom activities.
We, at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, look forward to work in collaboration with industry experts  for a successful and pleasant experience.

M. Tech (Computer Science & Engineering)
M. Tech (Computer Science and Engineering) is a two year full time post-graduate programme approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) for the students who have a B.E / B. Tech in any branch of engineering, M.Sc and M.C.A. The course is offered by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering by highly qualified and experienced teaching faculty..
The course offers core subjects like Advanced Computer Architecture, Computer Networks, RDBMS, Software Engineering, Language Processor and Operating Systems in the first two semesters and a host of electives such as Data structures, Advanced Computer Graphics, Distributed systems, Artificial Intelligence, etc.
A dedicated project work is taken up by every student for the next two semesters. The project work is of high quality basing used in current industry practices. Project work is supported by leading MNC's and Defence laboratories doing state of art research and development.

         Electronics and Communication Engineering 




The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering has been playing a vital role in producing quality engineers ever since it was established in the year 2008. changing needs of technical excellence in all areas of Electronics and Communication Engineering such as VLSI Design, Embedded Systems, Telecommunications, Signal Processing etc.The intake for Under Graduate Program (B. Tech) is 120. The department also offers Post Graduation programs with an intake of 18 each.
The Department is headed by senior professor having vast teaching experience and ably supported by highly qualified faculty with an nonparallel level of expertise in their field. Keeping in mind the great potential and demand for new communication technologies, the department aims at imparting its students with the latest knowledge in the field. To accomplish this, the department has well stocked laboratories housing various modern equipment's and special software packages to enable the students to keep pace with the fast changing technology.
Some of the laboratories are:
    1.  Electronic Devices and Circuits Lab
    2.  Simulation Lab (MATLAB, LABVIEW)
    3.  Pulse and Digital Circuits Lab

In addition to the traditional labs, the department has also established the following Centers of excellence viz.
    1.  Center of Excellence in Cadence VLSI Design
    2.  Center of Excellence in NI LabVIEW Academy
    3.  Center for Advanced Signal Processing
    4.  Center for RF and Microwave Simulation

The Department of ECE is having professional society memberships like IEEE, IETE, ISTE, IE (India) etc., and actively participates in conducting various events in association with the above mentioned professional bodies periodically.
The Department also has its own technical association(SAC)comprising of the faculty members and the student members. It organizes the co-curricular and extracurricular activities for the students in order to sharpen their creativity. The association periodically conducts quiz programs, seminars and group discussions and so on to promote their professional interest and make them aware of the latest technology and its advances.
The Department of ECE has an excellent placement record. The Department nurtures students to enhance leadership skills, technical skills, and management abilities applicable to needs of Industries. Students have obtained prestigious placements with leading companies such as TCS, Infosys, Robert Bosch, CSC, Tech Mahindra, TekSystems, Flipkart, Mphasis, Redpine Signals, Oracle, Polaris, Covergys, NTT DATA etc. A few are pursuing their higher studies at prestigious institutions in India and abroad as well. Alumni of ECE Department of KITS occupy key positions in industry and are successful as entrepreneurs.
Faculty are encouraged to take independent initiatives with collective responsibility in all the relevant academic and    R & D dimensions like Teaching, Curriculum development, graduate research supervision, Research and Development, continuing education or organization of conferences / workshops, symposia etc. They have ample freedom to associate as members of team with other faculty, research engineers or with faculty in interdisciplinary areas.
M. Tech (Digital Electronics and Communication Systems)  The department of ECE offers M. Tech - Digital Electronics and Communication Systems course with an intake of 18. This course aims at imparting comprehensive education with transcendence in the area of Information and Communication through qualified and competent professors with decades of experience in the field of teaching and industry. Under this PG Course, latest technologies like wireless communication networks, advanced digital signal processing, low power VLSI design, Network Security and Cryptography, Image and Video processing and so on are covered.

M. Tech (Embedded Systems) The department of ECE offers M. Tech - Embedded Systems course with an intake of 18. This course aims to provide a comprehensive education at par excellence in the area of Embedded Systems by well qualified professors with decades of experience in the field of teaching and industry. Under this PG Course, voguish technologies like Advanced Micro controllers, DSP Processors and Architectures, Embedded Linux, System modeling and Simulation and so on are incorporated.In order to facilitate students gain practical knowledge of subjects and carry out advanced research and developmental activities in the field of VLSI and Communications, an avant-garde laboratory has been setup particularly to meet the prerequisites of M. Tech students.
